Cosmetic work

The term ‘cosmetic dentistry’ nowadays encompasses a wide range of treatments from non invasive ‘no drilling’ procedures such as tooth whitening and invisible orthodontics, to the placing of crowns and veneers transforming your smile.

Tooth coloured fillings

These replace unsightly metal and amalgam fillings with cosmetic, tooth coloured filling materials.

Tooth whitening

Very few people have brilliant white teeth, and they can become discoloured as we get older. Your teeth can also become stained on the surface through food and drink such as tea, coffee, red wine and blackcurrant. Smoking can also stain teeth. Bleaching or ‘tooth whitening’ has increased in popularity over the years. It is a relatively straightforward procedure and involves wearing a specially designed tray over the teeth either overnight or during the day until the desired shade is achieved.

Veneers and crowns

In certain cases crowns and veneers are the ideal way to dramatically alter the appearance of the teeth. With the latest porcelain materials we can achieve an extremely natural appearance. This treatment does involve the removal of varying degrees of tooth tissue and is not suitable for everyone.

Invisible braces

The system uses a number of different invisible orthodontics in conjunction with clear positioners, made of wafer thin transparent medical grade plastic. Each positioner is worn for approximately 2 weeks. Little by little they gently move the teeth from their current position to their desired position.

  • They do not impact on speech
  • They are removable and must be removed for eating and for drinking hot or fizzy drinks.
