radiography (x-rays)
Upon our relocation in February 1999, we invested some £20,000 in a new external (OPG) x-ray suite which allows us to take views of the face, jaws and teeth. These are valuable tools in diagnosis and when it is appropriate we will offer this facility to you as we would any other new facility.
However, the facility is classified as over and above the normal x-ray imaging facilities which would normally be available to patients.
Since for the majority of patients, the need for such imaging is likely to be unusual, we do not feel inclined to raise the fee levels next year to reflect the equipment. Instead, this service is offered to patients as an additional diagnostic facility, on the basis that an additional fee would be payable of £70.00.
